The Kapa Haka!

 It was 8 in the in the morning and It was the day kapa haka festival. I found Stavers Olly and Bramm and we lined up to get our moko. There was a long line. Then it was my turn koka tayla did my right cheek than I lined up to get my left cheek. Koka fly did It. Once we had got our moko we mooched around until the second bell rang. once we were organized we piled onto the bus.The bus roared into life and we were of!

When we arrived we lined up and sang all the songs Just to warm up. Than they announced that we were up next. I felt excited and nervous we walked beside the stage ready to perform. All the teachers looked anxious to. 

Then someone shouted "wainui would you please come to the stage". We marched onto the stage. We grouped up to sing eta ri ke. Once we had finished we spread out. We started to sing utina. Matiria started us of as usual. In the middle the boys moved to the front the floor was trembling from our strong takahea. Than after that it was time for the haka! The first haka we sang was the wainui haka. Bay led us of with the usal"taringa whakarongo titiro mikea" I had tried so hard my chest was red. After we finished Bay led the next haka Kamate kamate with the same start. 

It was time for our final song wainui-e I didn't want to start my chest was so sor. Matiria started then we followed once we had walked of the stage we got to hang around. I was proud I had given my all I also felt relieved that we were finished. On the way back me Harry and Harry sat at the back of the bus we talked of nothing but the kapa haka. Once we had given our skirts to koka rozie we went to lunch.

WBS Craft Fair

                                              

 It was friday and the bell had just rung. I suddenly remembered.

I ran out the door grabbed my bag and rush to Mum, It was the craft fair. She was waiting at the school entrance. "Archie" she said I'm in a rush we need to get home and have a snack then get back. Ok I said, we rushed to the car Nellie by our side. When we got back Mum didn't even glance at Nana waiting at the door she just said, " I'm really under the pump" and rushed to here room to do some jobs. Once we had scoffed down some carrots we drove back to the school. 

While Mum was of doing some jobs I went around to the horizontal bungy. Soon Mum was back with some gym mats. She placed them over the back of Mike's car. Than I saw Harry S I ran over to him I asked If he wanted to test the horizontal bungy he said, "of course". So we headed of to the bungy. Mum and Mike had already set it up. I went first. It was really fun. They made It way harder by tieing some knots in the cord. 

Than a bell rang and that could only mean one thing the craft fair had started. I ran over to Mum and said I'm gonna need my wollit to get some tickets,but to my surprise she said that Nana and Poppa had already got me some tickets! So I ran of to find them. They where with Nell looking a some art. I said can I please have those tickets? Once they had given them to me I was of.

I met up with Harry M.  then I saw Harry S lining up for the bubble soccer so I went along too. It was fun, once I had smashed  every one at least three times I started doing some flips and scoring some goals. When the time was up I slipped out of the bubble and rolled it to the front. Than I saw Olly, Bramm and prince. I walked over to then. they were going to have a look at the other stalls. I went too I also got a sneaky coak. Once we had seen all the stalls twice and had another three goes in the bubbles. We started to play fair tag. 

Me and Harry hid In the bouncy castle the hole time. When all the other kids came and tagged us we jumped all over the castle. Than Nana called and tolled me to leave. reluctantly I slid down to the green grass and went home thinking about the fun adventure I had.                

Athletics

                         Athletics  

I was sprinting towards the high jump bar at the athletics. The next thing I now I cleared the bar and running of to the back of the line. After Harry and Arthur had failed. They were both better at jumping, what were they doing? The next two goes Arthur failed. When it was my turn I failed as well  for all of My ones too. Ouch hitting the bar was .Next thing I know I was out with Harry on the side watching. 

Later on me Arthur and prince went over to ball throw we watched the year threes and than lined up and throw. The girls went first it was a long wait. finally it was the boys turn. I was third In line I had butterflies in my stomach. It was my turn we had to use cricket balls Instead of hockey balls! It was an apouling throw. it only went about 20 m. I went to the back of the line. Once I had both my goes I new I had to practice.

We went back to the tent. we sat down ready to watch the school  relay we had to wait for Wainui beach schools turn. Meanwhile we watched the other  relay teams. Finally it was our turn , our moment to shine. Our girl team was up first. They sprinted around the track passing the baton to each other. Even though we placed in this one would the boys do the same? It turned out that they were the same. They came second! Then the final came. Again we smashed it coming third overall. 

On the way back me Harry and Kahu were in Kally thorps car. we were talking about the athletics. Non of us had come any places so we talked about what we needed to do better. Then when we got back to school we put our t-shirts into the box and settled  down in class.
