On Monday room 4 and the Shadehouse group went to Mangaone Station. We were there to weed, mulch and plant native trees in the wetland. I was excited, I loved farms. There was a trailer load of mulch and at least one hundred young plants.
After they had told us all the rules we went and got into it. It was hard at first than I got the hang of it. There were three hundred trees to weed all together. We did it for around an hour then we had lunch. Once everyone had finished we went for a walk up the hill.
There were a few horses on the hill. Then the boys ran down the hill to a pond. There was a small dirt dam stopping the water from flowing away . It really was a beautiful way to spend a sunny day.
